Lounsbury has been supporting exploration and development of Oil and Gas projects across the state for over five decades. We staked the discovery well for the Swanson River Oilfield on the Kenai Peninsula in the 1950’s, helped build the giant Prudhoe Bay and Kuparuk Oilfields in the 1960’s and 70’s, and our survey crews supported the design and construction of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. We continue to support new exploration and development of oil and gas projects into the 21 st century through our fully staffed office at Kuparuk that supports exploration and development projects on the North Slope through our ongoing term survey agreement with ConocoPhillips Alaska Inc.
Our experience in surveying and engineering for oil and gas development leads to quality projects and advanced schedules. More information about specific services is shown below.
